Informal education

All Jewish Education is founded on the premise that formal and informal Jewish Education should complement each other. In an integrated program, kids will look forward both the classroom learning and the "youth groups" that a congregation sponsors.

All Jewish Education will help you to create and maintain youth groups for children of all ages. We will also help you to write job descriptions and establish pay scales for youth directors and advisors, who are of course the key players in creating a successful youth group. We can also provide ideas for creative and unique activities for kids of all ages.

Family education

Jewish education is not limited to children. In fact, children learn better, with fewer classroom management issues, when they know that their parents are studying at the same time.

All Jewish Education can work with your family education team to design a program of family-centered educational experiences within the designs of your curriculum. Whether you want to create a special Passover program or just ask the parents to join their children for a Bible lesson, we have the experience to assist you. Rabbi Parr is a renowned family educator, having presented family education workshops across the country. His schools are noted for the high level of parental involvement; in fact, the parents often love the programs more than the kids!

Summer programs

All Jewish Education can help you create week-long back to school camps for children of all ages. Whether you want to have travel, performance, Hebrew or mitzvah-oriented camps, All Jewish Education can make them happen.
These programs provide the perfect segue from a long, quiet summer to the new Religious School year. They also serve as excellent membership recruitment tools.

Performance Camp
Performance Camp is a week-long day camp for students entering Grades 3-5. Usually scheduled for the final week of summer vacation, the Performance Campers rotate between cooking, drama, music and art. At the end of the week, the Performance Campers host a Shabbat dinner for the congregation and perform a story (with singing) during the Kabbalat Shabbat (Friday night) service. High School volunteers, along with adult supervisors, lead all aspects of the program.

All Jewish Education will provide you a complete outline of Performance Camp, including materials for Shabbat and Israel themes.

Mitzvah Camp
Mitzvah Camp is a week-long day camp for students entering Grades 6-8. Usually scheduled for the final week of summer vacation, the Mitzvah Campers visit and participate in a program of service in the community. Perhaps the teens will work in a soup kitchen one day, at a food bank the next or even host children living in shelters for a swim party! In addition to these activities, the teens study Jewish texts with a rabbi or other teacher so that their actions can be put into the context of tikkun olam, social justice. High School volunteers, along with adult supervisors, lead all aspects of the program.

All Jewish Education will provide you a complete outline of Mitzvah Camp, including relevant texts and ideas for places to visit and work.

Summer Hebrew Ulpan
Whether you want to design a summer-long Hebrew camp or a week-long back to school refresher program, All Jewish Education can help you design a curriculum, select materials and market the program to your congregation and community. Think of a building full of children, speaking Hebrew to each other! Or perhaps you just want to focus on prayers with students new to your school, children who don't yet know an Aleph from a Bet.

All Jewish Education also sees the Hebrew Summer Ulpan as a tremendous marketing tool for your congregation. We will assist you to design ads for local media to help you get that all-important free publicity.

Small Congregations/Joint Religious School

In many smaller communities, the economics of scale have forced congregations from different movements to pool their talents and create a joint religious school. With Rabbi Parr's experience in creating joint High School Programs in communities large and small, All Jewish Education can work with smaller communities to offer a quality program of Jewish education, from cradle to graduation. All Jewish Education sees the community religious school as one answer for the struggles of smaller, isolated Jewish communities.
